S.W.O.T. Analysis is a useful strategic planning tool and it is also one of the most popular tools in defining an organization’s strategy and plans.
S.W.O.T, an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, is an exercise often used by the team tasked with putting together the strategic plan to explore Strengths and Weaknesses of a company that are often called Internal Drivers as well as Opportunities and Threats that are called External Drivers.
Although S.W.O.T. Analysis on the surface looks easy, it requires a clear understanding of the objectives, the technique itself and the common mistakes that are made.
