Contract Management

COURSE OVERVIEW

The 2(two) day Contract Management course is based on the Contracts Act of Malaysia 1950. The objective is to introduce the delegates to the framework of the Contracts Act and provide them with a working knowledge of the rudiments of Malaysian contract law in combination with applicable international law such as FIDIC. The subject matter is designed to get past the legalese and dive straight into the mechanics of the Act which is conveyed with relevant case law examples to illustrate Malaysian and International legal principles.

As it is not possible to cover the modules over a two (2) day period; mainly due to the technical nature of the subject matter, questions from the delegates and the explanations that must accompany each topic, we will curate the sessions to suit individual learning outcomes.

In total there are 7(seven) modules to select from. The modules are listed as follows:

  • MODULE 1: PRINCIPLES OF CONTRACT FORMATION
  • MODULE 2: CONTRACTUAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR RISK MITIGATION
  • MODULE 3: VOID AND VOIDABLE CONTRACTS
  • MODULE 4: TENDER AND PROCUREMENT
